Jack the Ripper's Threats
London, October 5th. The police have received two more letters signed by Jack the Ripper, and announcing the intention of that bloodthirsty unknown to commit fresh murders and mutilations. The police believe that the letters are genuine. Vigilance committees are being organized in the Whitechapel district in expectation of a renewal of the Ripper's depredations. The police force has also been increased.
