Jack the Ripper has just warned the London police that they may expect another "operation", a murder at Whitechapel. He either fears the London police may not discover the corpse of the victim, or else some accomplice is attempting to divert attention from the trial now in progress in New York, wherein a man known as Frenchy is on trial for killing a woman known as Shakespeare.
