The Times (London).
24 August 1887

At the Thames Police Court, Mrs. Lipski, the landlady of the house in which the Whitechapel murder was committed, complained to Mr. Saunders that Angell, the husband of the murdered woman, on Monday came to her house, in company with his brothers and sisters, and kicked her. They also tore the knocker from off her street door, broke the windows, and committed other damage. The only reason assigned for the outrage was that Mrs. Angell was murdered in applicant's house. Mr. Williams, magistrate's clerk, said that disturbances were nightly occurring in Batty street. Mr. Saunders granted summonses against the persons complained about.
