Pinkerton Makes a Guess
Chicago, Nov. 20.
Billy Pinkerton says he remembers Dr. Trumblety (sic) who is supposed by the London police to be the Whitechapel butcher. Trumblety was guilty of the most disgusting and unnamable vices, and Pinkerton thinks him entirely capable of the Whitechapel atrocities. He was in Sington during the war, and sold a book to the soldiers, which was prohibited on account of its immoralities.
