He Falls a Victim to Popular Indignation
London, Nov. 12.
The repetition of the Whitechapel murders has created such a furore of indignation against the police authorities and such severe criticisms have been made in regard to the incompetence of Sir Charles Warren, that that gentleman has just tendered his resignation as Chief of the Police Department of London. In the mean time the police continue their fruitless investigations.
