Sadler Will Go Free
The London Police Cannot Connect Him with the Whitechapel Murders
London, Feb. 27.
It is believed that the police will have to discharge Sadler, the man accused of the murder
of Carroty Nell. One of the most important witnesses against Sadler died suddenly the other
day, and there is very little testimony on which to ask for his commitment. The coroner's
jury having failed to implicate him is also a strong argument in his favor. The police,
however, are still busy on the case today, and may possibly succeed in securing some
evidence to sustain their theory that he is guilty of this, and perhaps the other
Whitechapel murders.
