The Whitechapel affair seems to have reached the hysterical state. The whole city of London yesterday was thrown into a fit of terror over a drunken quarrel. Had the man been caught who was charged with having attempted murder it is probable that the coroner not the judge would have been called on to hear the evidence. It's getting dangerous for a man to quarrel with a woman in that section now and some of these broils may result in a lynching affair.
