JACK THE RIPPER
A Man Arrested in London Proclaims Himself the Murderer

London, Nov. 13.
Several arrests have been made in connection with the Whitechapel mystery, but all the men taken into custody were speedily released, no evidence being at hand against them. Late Sunday night a man who was publicly proclaiming himself to be Jack the Ripper, was arrested. He asserted that he is a doctor at St George's Hospital. It required a squad of policemen to protect him from the crowd, who tried to lynch him. The man is detained in custody for the present.
