CHILD MURDERED
Little Ida Gebhard Found in a Tool Chest
The Poor Little One Horribly Cut and Mutilated Before Life Had Left the Body

Indianapolis, Ind., July 24.
The mystery surrounding the murder of little Ida Gebhard, whose mutilated body was found in a tool chest, is still unsolved. Early this morning, John F Linson, formerly a railroad engineer, who, according to his own story, has been a wanderer all over the world, was arrested for the crime but an almost complete alibi has been established for him. He was recently released from the Elgin, Ills. insane hospital and is a morphine fiend. The post mortem today developed the fact that the child had been horribly cut with a sharp knife after the manner of the London Ripper. She was thus mutilated before the assault.
