New York's Ripper Held

New York, May 15.
The jury in the Carrie Brown inquest, after hearing all the testimony and being out twenty minutes, found that Carrie Brown came to her death by strangulation at the hands of Ameer Ben Ali, alias "Frenchy No.1" Only one ballot was taken. "Frenchy", when the verdict was explained to him, thought he was already doomed and told a reporter that he believed he would be taken out at once and put to death. The situation was explained to him, at which he expressed great relief. There was an immense crowd at the doors of the coroner's office to see the alleged Ripper taken to the Tombs.
