The Foreign Criminal Arrested at Seattle
Seattle, Wash., Dec. 19.
More particulars have been found concerning E.R. Hammond, who is wanted at Scotland Yard, London, to give his testimony in the recent notorious scandals. Hammond, when he first came here, stopped at a lodging house, the proprietor of which states that he called himself Bolton, and he was accompanied by a small boy, named Herbert Ames.
Frequently Hammond was heard to say :"Bert, if you don't do as I want you to I will send you back to England."
Quick as a flash the boy replied: "You dare not: I will blow on you."
Hammond is being guarded by local detectives and, it is suspected, by foreign detectives also, but refuses to say anything.
