London, Dec. 18.
Summons have been issued against Solicitor Arthur Newton, his clerk, Taylor, and interpreter, Degala, on a charge of conspiracy to defeat justice. It is understood that the solicitor obtained funds and otherwise assisted Hammond to escape to America.
