The World claims to have learned that Hammond, the man who kept the infamous "west end club's" scandal originated, and who fled to America arrived here on the steamer Penland about six weeks ago, registered at a hotel on Chester street as Charles Bollen, of Paris, he left for Philadelphia October 22. He was accompanied by a boy who passed as his son. Hammond is said to have in his possession evidence incriminating several prominent members of the English aristocracy.
