WHY?

Just because the plot points have been pulled out of the hat, doesn't mean they have to be made into a film! So why did this "What-if-Jack-the-Ripper-had-wanted-to-get-in-on-the-successful-tone,-style,-and-believeability(sp! I know!)-of-The-Village-People's-_Can't-Stop-the-Music_" farce?

Why is H.G. Wells such a nimrod in this? He *looks* like H.G. Wells, but, apparently, sometime between the time he and Doctor (yes, "Doctor." Groan now or you'll never stop when you see this waste of celluloid later. And don't think I have no right to say that this is a waste -- My Uncle Johnnie Harris (ne Heinz Charasch & Jewish in big-city interwar Germany) got my cousin, Donald Harris, a part in _Flesh Gordon_ (you read right-- not "Flash," but "Flesh"), and you'll never hear me telling everyone that that's some kind of underrated cinematic masterpiece, or that the spools and spools of VERY expensive film had any use to the world except starting Cousin Donny off in L-E-G-I-T-I-M-A-T-E film.

I saw _Time After Time_ a few weeks ago on A&E. This is a film that, like _Flesh Gordon_, is just *begging* for a sequel featuring a stop-action photography Penisaurus Rex. Instead, it gets the label "legitimate cinema," and gets shown on the A&E Network. How fair is that? Anyway, if you want to compare the career trajectories of the stars of _Time After Time_ to those of the stars of _Flesh Gordon_ (including Donald Harris), you can, on imdb.com.
