Look out for the lovely moment when "Howard" of "Last of the Summer Wine" appears as an excited East End local.

Hello Stephen and Martin.

The ending of this film is ,if nothing else, original.
Poor Jack is crushed to death in the bottom of a lift shaft.

Damn,I've gone and spoilt it for everyone now!

Regards,

Mick

If it's the one I think it is, it's a pretty terrible film...is it the one with the american fella who 'helps' the bumbling bobbies ?
the bar scene is funny if it is.

Oh and Mick, he gets eaten by the rabid Hippo surely ? :)

take care

Yup, that's the one, Garry. With Ewen Solon out of his familiar role as Janvier in the television Maigret series wearing the hat and cape of a Victorian doctor.
All the best,

Ave a wurd wiv y'self Monty,course she don't.
However, John "Wilson" Le Mesurier does make an appearance.
Here is one of his lines taken from the original script:
"I say Mrs.Eddowes,do you mind awfully if I cut your throat"?

Thanks, Monty. For some reason my browser failed to pick it up on any "New Messages" tree that I examined. (I mayhave killed it en route to my screen. I'm not the world's best computer operator).
All the best,
Martin F
