… continuing the thread that is now closed.

I might as well put my cards on the table and admit that I am one of those people that find “the methods employed (…) too incredible”, however, I tried reading the book with an open mind. Nevertheless, it is hard to take any of this really seriously. Just cut to the chase, read THE END OF THE TRAIL and try counting the amount of references to the author’s feelings, e.g.:

“I FEEL that we must start with Martha Tabram, who, I BELIEVE, unwittingly played a key role in the mystery.”
“My FEELING was that it was not an appropriate place for the mother to be (…). The mother APPEARS to have suffered quite badly (…).”
“The ASSUMPTION must be that for some reason Martha’s knowledge of the existence of the child put her in danger.”
“There is NO EVIDENCE to link Bertie with the murders.”
“Our findings SUGGEST that the knowledge the victims held (…) put them in danger.”
etc etc…

Well, so all of this MAY indeed be true, but it just as well MAY be complete and utter tosh.

Nice pictures, though. :-)

All the best
Holger
