Hi all: The website for Jack--The Musical is now up and running with the complete lyrics of the demo CD that we have put out. Go to http://www.jack-themusical.com/ Special Concert Performance in Bournemouth, September 28 We are proud to announce that a special concert performance of the songs from the promotional CD of Jack--The Musical will be given at the Jack the Ripper convention in Bournemouth, England, on Friday, September 28. The convention will be opened by world famous novelist Tom Clancy who will introduce our musical. Mr. Clancy is a resident of Maryland, USA, where Jack—The Musical lyricist Christopher T. George lives. For more information, see http://www.ripperconference.co.uk/ . Although the UK Ripper convention is filling up rapidly, spaces are still available if you would like to attend the convention or just come to see our show. If you are interested in being there for the concert performance of our show but do not want to attend the rest of the weekend, contact us at Jackthemusical@aol.com. The cast to perform in Bournemouth will be the same cast as on our promotional CD with the notable exception that the part of Alfred Corner, so ably sung on the CD by Cyril Niccolai, will be sung by Frederic Strouck, who appeared in Les Miserables in Germany with our lead singer Pierre-Yves Duchesne (Tom Dolan/Jack the Ripper). Frederic, like Cyril, has a very fine voice. He does not, however (sorry, ladies!), have the matinee idol good looks possessed by Mr. Niccolai! You can see Frederic Strouck’s website at http://strouck.citeweb.net/ The reason Cyril is unable to appear in Bournemouth is that he is in the cast of the hit Paris musical Notre Dame de Paris. One of our performers in Bournemouth, Thierry Gondet (George Lusk) is generously taking a temporary leave of absence from his starring role in Cats in the role of Rum Tum Tugger in Stuttgart, Germany, to appear with us in Bournemouth. Thierry previously played 503 times in the role of Lumiere in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in Stuttgart, and has also appeared in Starlight Express and Grease. French Version of Jack—The Musical In addition to the English version of Jack—The Musical by composer Erik Sitbon with English lyrics by Christopher T. George, a French adaptation of the show is being prepared by talented French songwriter and adapter Alain Marcel. Plans are being formulated to tour with Mr. Marcel’s French version of Jack throughout France.
