Okay. Well since this is not part of the official Casebook review, this review can be as fulsome as I choose. I love the album Piston Baroque. LOVE it. It's fun, it's kicky, it's twisted, warped, dark, mildly demented, happy, sad..it is all. The band is contemporary Irish bar band and the songs have a lively beat that worms its way into your head with infectious charm. The worming is much more pleasant than it sounds, I guarantee you'll be continuously humming the songs when you should be doing much more productive things. The end of the album has two songs that were recorded at a live show and it sounds like a truly great show to see/hear. Makes me wish I lived in Canada so I could go to one. So anyway..here:

Dark Annie

Click for demo of their song "Dark Annie". It was written by band member Aaron Chapman about his great-great-aunt Annie Chapman. Check it out and then go to their website here:

Town Pants

and buy their album, thus making them rich and famous so they will come and tour the states.

Buy the Town Pants

They e-mailed me and said that the link off of their site is now working too. So you can view their page and order from their as well. Give the sample song a shot. A link can be found in the post above to their site and to the song.

Hi, Ally:

I am still backing Jack--The Musical by Erik Sitbon and myself to knock the pants off the Town Pants in the ratings for best Ripper music!

To all Jack--The Musical friends and supporters:

Go to the front page under "Media" and vote for your favorite! Topple the Town Pants from their lofty perch. Thanks in advance for your support!

Best regards

Chris George

Sorry Chris, this is off-topic and must be deleted. I would like to point out that Town Pant's CD is less than half the price of your CD...therefore a MUCH better deal.

Yeah...and you know that's what this girl told me about the designer jeans she spent $150 bucks on. They made her arse look flat, her legs stumpy and were the ugliest things I had ever seen. Makes me proud to wear Levi's.

Only a woman could get away with saying that about another female :)

Hi Ally:

Yes but I bet the Town Pants don't have a neat legal size color book filled with neat Ripper-related and Victorian artwork plus an introduction by the inimitable Paul Begg.

* Ally quiclkly draws some quick pictures of towns and pants; staples them together. Then she feverishly searches through all of Stewart Evans back posts and extracts the following:*

'the town' 'Pants' 'are' 'Wonderful'!!! 'everyone should' 'go and listen' 'to them' 'and buy' 'them'.

There you have it: a beautiful promotional book and a rave review in Stewart Evans own words!!

Hi, Ally:

Yeh I know the Town Pants are the hottest pants since the Britches of Madison County!
