On the Trail of Jack the Ripper
Martin Fido, 1995
Audiotape, 2hrs.20mins.

These tapes are IMHO excellent, the music sets you up perfectly for the narrative, although Mr Fido's 'funny voices' have been the butt of many jokes at work.

Martin Fido has also produced some splendid tapes about other true crimes, including a very clear description of the events of the JFK killing. Also he has tapes about our most notorius serial killer Peter Sutcliffe: The Yorkshire Ripper, who bares little resemblance to jolly Jack except that he prayed on Prostitutes (mainly).

Appart from a few badly made feature films using the Sherlock Holmes character and a nasty film with Michael Caine, Martin Fido has been the sole source of my interest in Jack the Ripper.
