Hi to you all, I just thought I'd let you know that you can now be taken back in time "well,,,almost",,,through the streets of foggy old Whitechapel on the trail of Jack the Ripper, right here in front of your computer. Just go here,,,www.camelotintl.com/jack to "Jack the Ripper: Streets of Hell, A Victorian Odyssey". "Streets of Hell" is the Internet's first full audio site, featuring a complete soundtrack of narration, music and SFX. It runs on Shockwave Streaming Audio, so you will need to download Macromedia's free plugin, plus of cause "Streets of Hell" audio is totally free. "Jack the Ripper: Streets of Hell" is being presented in serialised form (no pun intended) with a further instalment added every few weeks. At the moment there are three instalments plus some extra's of photo's, images, biogs and more, all to which will be added to as the site grows. As well as myself, several people have voluntarily become involved to hopefully help make this as entertaining and informative as possible, the main ones being "Ripping Yarns Ltd". Ripping Yarns are a London walking tour company, connected to the Tower of London and specialising in Jack the Ripper. They can be contacted at,,,,,ripyarns@aol.com As you know, there are hundreds of different variations on the Ripper story "with new ones popping up all the time". Well, because of the fact that "Streets" is being done in a kind of Gothic Horror style, we've had to stick to just a handfull of theories, to ensure it maintains flow and continuity throughout. Some of you Ripperphile's out there may disagree with the odd bit of our story as the site progresses, but we're leaving the big in-depth stuff to Stephen Ryder's Casebook" which we've linked up to. We're here to entertain while Casebook educates. Thanks a lot to Stephen, for his support and ever increasing knowledge on all things Jack. Anyway, I hope you find "Streets of Hell" a worthy addition to what has almost become a legend, the story of "Jack the Ripper". Now,,,sit back, turn up the volume and enjoy....
