I got it from amazon but for some reason, they're not discounting this one. They should be paying us to take it off their hands!!!

it's very sad to see a novel about JTR come up so short, when the basic facts are readily avail- able. one need only check the local library to find that polly nichols (according to the canon) wasn't the fifth victim (and after the "double e- vent"), nor did annie chapman die in hamburg or lanbury street, nor was a kidney from anyone other than eddowes ever mailed to anyone other than george lusk!

after being assaulted with all that in the first sev eral chapters, the rest was just impossible--JTR was actually moriarty who was CLONING him- self, and it gets worse from there. but i won't spoil it all for you, if you are inclined to blow $24 on tis tome.

computer-generated in large type with great gaps between paragraphs obviously meant to fill space, and with an uninteresting black and red cover that advertises "the pursuit of a medi- cal mystery that threatens to overtake our pre- sent day society and destroy it. not science fiction...science future. the true identity of jack the ripper. the proof of sherlock holmes actual existence." all this ends with "what would you give to live a second or even third lifetime?"

ellery queen did this one better, m j trow did this one better, even michael dibdin did this one better. don't waste your money. cruise the sites for used books on the 'net and come up with a less expensive and much more interes- ting read.
