While conducting research on a particular suspect, I came across some background material on Charles Warren.

Warren served in the Royal Engineers at the age of 17. 10 years later he would become one of the leading explorers and archaeologists for the Palestine Exploration Fund. Stories regarding Warren's persistence in exploring and excavating Palestine are legendary. There is still a place referred to as 'Warren's Mine's'.

His work, along with other members of the P.E.F. allowed the first accurate survey and topographical map of ancient Jerusalem. Known as an evangelical Christian, his discoveries apparently arose out of a religious fervor to trace lineage back to stories originally mentioned in the Bible.

Warren founded the Quator Coronati Lodge. This lodge was devoted to the research and study of Freemasonry.

Everyone on these boards knows Warren's part in the erasure of the Goulston Street Graffito. It is also the only crime related site visited by Warren during the investigation of the murders.

The leap that Warren erased the graffiti to cover up for his brother Freemasons committing the murders does not have to be made. In fact, it is beyond all logic that this is a realistic possibility. However, to deny that Warren would not have seen the word 'JUWES' in the message and immediately understood its meaning is equally unrealistic.

This was a man who loved the history and background of Biblical scholarship so much that he founded an entire lodge devoted to researching Freemasonry, which has its origins within the Bible, going back to the times of King Soloman.

Saying there was no Freemason cover up conspiracy is one thing, but claiming that Warren believed 'JUWES' to be an alternate wording of 'JEWS' is a leap along those same lines.
