Rescue Abberline's Memory!

As you may know I have been trying to get someone to erect a headstone on the grave of Inspector Abberline in Bournemouth for two years now. I have pestered The Metropolitan Police in London and various historical societies with no success.
Although everyone agrees the distinguished detective deserves a headstone, no one wants the trouble or expense of erecting it and passes the buck.
So as a last ditched effort I have contacted The Bournemouth Council and have high hopes the Mayor of the town (Jim Courtney) will have one erected, if all goes well the Council will vote on it next month. However to keep up the pressure it would
be nice if they were to receive more letters from other interested this issue, which I feel is of great significance to Bournemouth as well as law enforcement history.
So why not send him a letter too?, it would only take a few moments of your time and would help redress an insulting slur on a great mans memory.
If this move fails I'll just have falk out and pay for a stone myself, although I hope it doesn't come to that, as the commemoration of Abberline's memory should be an official action of recognition, not the acknowledgment of a foreigner on the opposite side of the Earth.
