I just went through your whole website this afternoon- Great work! I enjoyed every minute of it. I do have two points you may wish to consider, however:
I didn't like bouncing back and forth to see the entries for each film/TV episode as a separate page. I kept wishing that you had placed each era's entries on a single page. This is just a personal observation, however. Feel free to ignore it as just a minor quibble on my part.
Also, I was surprised that the 3rd season episode of "Sliders" titled "Murder Most Foul" didn't make it to your list of faux Jack entries since it was loosely based on the Ripper killings. I concluded that it either didn't meet your criteria or that you never knew about it.
But those are the only points I found to quibble about. As I said before, you've done some great work for your website. Please let us know of any updates or additions in the future.

Brian, Chris, CJ: Glad to meet you all. I'm amazed to find so many folks right away from around the DC area. I would love to attend the get together if the date is good.
And Chris, glad to meet another non-suspect focused student of the Ripper case. I listed "Frances Tumblety" as my favorite suspect but that's not quite true. I think he's one of the more plausible suspects. But my FAVORITE (as in "Isn't this so deliciously ironic" favorite) is James Maybrick. It's just fun to think that Florie was accused of murdering Jack the Ripper. I was sad when I heard that the Ripper Diary had been discounted. Anyway, it was a little too good to be true.
Vila: Thanks for the comments on the website. Glad you enjoyed it! BTW, user comments about architecture and navigation are extemely valuable to me as the designer. So can I ask you a couple of questions? When you mention bouncing back and forth, did you bounce back to the main page for the era, or did you use the navigation bar underneath the logo? My question is whether the navigation bar is visible enough for users. My navigation allows users to proceed to the next page without having to go back to an earlier page to pick up the link. But if users don't see the navigation bar, then it's not worth much!
As for why I used the individual page structure: I like pages that don't involve a lot of scrolling. But more than that, with individual entries, I can expand entries for individual films, and add a lot more information and opinions, and also do more specific optimization for the search engines. Is your preference for long scrolling pages that have links to the different sections at the top of the page?
I'm hoping to build from a Filmguide to a webzine (with the Filmguide as a resource), and have new issues regularly with fresh articles in them. I know a lot of film historians who could write some great stuff, particularly if I opened the zine also to films about Jack's real and fictitious spiritual descendents.
So that's what's up with Hollywood Ripper. Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

The reason I didn't include the SLIDERS episode is that I'm really not up-to-date with Ripper television. I think the most recent TV episode in my list is from 1974!!! (KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER). If you know how I could get a copy of the SLIDERS ep to screen it, I'd be able to add it to the site. And if you have any more suggestions for content, I'd love to hear them. I do not assume that I know everything already! :-)

If you've not heard of them, two books which would be useful in adding to your site's contents are Jack the Ripper: His Life & Crimes in Popular Entertainment by Gary Coville and Patrick Lucanio (ISBN 0-7864-0616-X) and Jack the Ripper: The Murders & the Movies by Denis Meikle (ISBN 1-903111-32-3).
Please keep me informed about the progress of your website, and I look forward to mentioning it in the April issue.

I have the Coville/Lucanio book, plus their article years ago in Filmfax. I disagree with them on a number of points. But their book is also quite useful in many ways.
I just learned of the Meikle book the other day and definitely plan to get a copy of it.

I've been away from the boards for way too long that I have alot of catching up to do! First of all welcome to all the new members here! Hope you have a great time.
Second....I found a new fiction novel about Jack called "Curtains of Blood" by Robert Randisi. Haven't finished reading it yet but all I can say is it's deffinately fiction! 
Thirdly....there was listed here sometime ago a translation of a Ripper book in a different language that needed translating into English. Could someone please send me the link to this work because I have found a friend who can translate this for us! Thanks a bunch!
