Casebook Message Boards: Ripper Victims: General Discussion: Drawings of Mary Kelly
Author: Oliver Franz Wednesday, 12 July 2000 - 05:21 pm | |
Hi everyone, A while back I found these drawings of Mary Jane Kelly on some websites (can't remember exactly were). Can anyone comment on the origin of these images? And just how accurate do you believe them to be? Just curious, Oliver

The bottom right image is lifted from the map "Jack's London," and is, I believe, a modern representation based little on fact. Not sure about the left image.

The left image is , I think , from the ' From Hell... ' website somewhere. As we all know ( from Walter Dew ) Mary didn't wear a hat though.

Stephen , I have an attempted portrait of Mary , another of Long Liz and several pictures for the Walter Sickert board to post up. Is it possible to do with them what we did with the Druitt newspaper article ? If so , I'll post them and everyone can see them ! I'd like to do a similar project with the murder sites , similar to Kelly's 3D room on the casebook-productions site. I feel that this would be beneficial to an understanding of how events unfolded all those years ago.

The left portrait of MJK is courtesy of the talented pen of Eddie Campbell, artist of the "From Hell" graphic novel.
