G'day Jules
Just wanted to know if anyone had any more questions for R. M. Gordon or any new thoughts. I really enjoyed the give and take on these boards.

Mr. Gordon, come back please!!! We like you and your expertise on the case. But we are less than experts on Mr. K-something-ski, and need a bit of elucidation. Thank you.

Good Rainy Afternoon everyone. R. Michael here.

Hello David,
I have been having a look at these pages every once in a while but no one seemed to have any more questions or comments so I have just been doing a bit of standing-by. I am more than ready to comment if there are any more interesting questions or debates. One always finds something new in this case. One new point of interest, I am looking for a copy of Klosowski's mother's death certificate. The date and cause will be MOST interesting. If she was murdered in 1887...
Also, there was one more body which seems to have been missed. I am trying to confirm and expand on this possibility, more later when I have some real data to pass along.
As for yourself David, was there something of interest I can help you with?

Best to one and all.

Hi, R. Michael Gordon:

Nice to hear from you again. Any news about the publication plans for your book? I am sure we will all be very interested to hear if and when your book with George Chapman (Severin Klosowski) as the suspect in the Whitechapel murders will appear. Good luck with it. I take it when you mention you are looking for the death certificate for Klosowski's mother, you are hinting that he may have murdered his own mother. Am I right? Certainly an intriguing thought. I hope you can prove all you say you can about your suspect. Also, where would Severin's mother have died-- London or back in Poland?

Hallo R.M.
Nice to see you again. One point: I have never heard anything about Klosowski's mother coming to London with her son, let alone her dying there. If she did, I can pick up her death certificate for you but do you have any proof that she came? And if she died in Poland, why is it important unless of course her son did knock her off.
Peter.

Hello out there, R. Michael here.

Hello Chris and Peter.
No new updates as yet on the book. My agent is still working with the publisher who wants to print it the first of NEXT year and as far as I am concerned that is a bit long winded. I am trying to have it published within the next six months. First information on when and by who will appear on these boards.
As for Klosowski's mother's death certificate you are quite correct. I am looking in Poland for her certificate if it still exists. I have no data as of this time of her ever leaving Russian occupied Poland and coming to England. Again, IF his mother was murdered just before he came to England it would be one more nail in his Ripper coffin. And if she was killed with a knife.....! It is only an avenue of investigation at this time which I hope will add to the known information on Klosowski. I will keep you all posted on any developments.

One more note to Peter - Are you able to aquire any death certificates for any of the Ripper or Torso murder victims? They would be of great interest to me and I would trade you an autographed copy of my book when it comes out for any of them.

Best to all. RMG

Mr. Gordon,
Your statements above rose the hair on my neck. My own people emigrated to the US from Russian Cossack-occupied Poland not very long after Klosowski would have left! They conceivably could have known him there. They were German nationals from Saxony who had been granted farming and ranching homesteads in the contested corridor region by the Polish government as a way of creating an anti-Russian/pro-Polish buffer between the main part of Poland and the Russian bear to the east. Some of them left for America when the Czar instituted a Cossack-led occupation of the corridor, and then proceded, among other oppressions, to begin random, forced conscriptions to generate manpower to wage the Russo-Japanese War.

Does any of this make sense to your research? I'd be delighted to hear of anything you may want to share concerning your research into this area. It would mean a lot to me. Thank you very much.

Hi, R.M.
If you need any research done in Poland call me: I have a Ukrainian agent who says he can work Poland as well. I'm a little concerned if you have assumed that Klosowski's mother died circa 1887 and that he may have killed her. Perhaps however you have some sort of evidence to that effect which is giving you good reason to do the research. As he was only about 22 when he came to London, isn't it likely that his parents lived on for many years in Poland?
Death certificates I can provide and if you're happy with photocopies of the five victims I'd be happy to swap those for a copy of your book. If however you require other deaths, each certificate would cost me £6.50 (say $10.) I would be happy to buy them on your behalf without of course charging you for my research time.
Peter.

Dear Mr. Gordon:
I hope that you have finally finished your term paper on Jack the Ripper's alter ego.
Your pin the tail on the donkey approach to research is highly amusing and I would like to encourage you to continue with this light approach. It is time that someone published a
comedic version of the Whitechapel horrors and you definitely have a leg up.
In closing, have you researched how many women died under suspicious circumstances in Poland prior to Mr. Chapman's arrival in England? You may well be able to drive more than a few nails in your suspect's coffin.Keep up the good fun.
With best wishes,
wascallywabbit.

Good Afternoon all. R. Michael here.

David - Glad to hear that your people made it out of the confusion of occupied Poland. In the first chapter of my book I go into a bit of the wars from 1865 to 1880's as a background into the terror from which Klosowski arose. No excuses for him but just a review of a bad time. As for forced conscriptions I am most familure with them, we called it the draft of which I was a part.

Peter - No assuming of Klosowski's mother's death either in place or time. At this point it is purely research only! NO EVIDENCE as yet.
As for a trade of a copy of my book for the five victims' death certificates - you have a deal - I accept. Autographed book will be sent on its way when it is published unless you would like a copyrighted advanced copy on computer disk. Could you send the copies (good ones I hope) to my editor Mr. David Todd address as above on these boards. As for Poland I shall get back to you on that.

Wascally... Who? - I was thinking about a screenplay or perhaps a cartoon. As for how many were killed before Mr. Klosowski's arrival in England I have it on good authority that it was at least 2 or was that 2 million, my mind slips a bit when I am having fun. (tongue very much in cheek) As for my term paper, yes it was completed but it was not on old Jack. It was on the convergence of Relativity theory and Quantum physics at a theoretical reversal point of spacetime at 10-43 power seconds, otherwise Plank's wall. Just beyond that point gravity reverses polarity and becomes a repulsive force. Keep in touch.

Interesting as always

Hi Peter, R. Michael here.

I was just wondering if you have access to Klosowski's son's death certificate? I would be most interested in receiving a copy of it at whatever cost is appropriate. It could tie up a few loose ends.
Thanks Much.

"Wascallywabbit," incidentally, is an epithet addressed to Bugs Bunny by Elmer Fudd, for all our non-American readers. I know who the individual who uses this as a sobriquet is, and wish he would reappear on these boards sometime soon.

Howdy All!

Everything's going along too swimmingly on this George Chapman board, so I'm here to play devil's advocate, though I don't feel he's a weak suspect considering who his competition is.

Wasn't he a bit young in 1888 compared to supposed eye-witness reports?

And exactly when in his career did he switch from frenzied knife murderer to poisoner?

Cheers........Mike

Hi y'all. See= http://www.leevalley.co.uk/ela/news

Found the above webpage while surfing for arsenic (inspired by Maybrick board)... Scroll down to page 3 for a modern newspaper article on George Chapman.

ADAM & DAVE Y.: You might consider adding this to the links listed on your sites. Has a small history page on the East End.

No sure what the deal is with this webpage. I only found the one issue although the paper's been operating over 100 years. A Net search on "East London Advertiser" only turned up references for the East End in the Cape Colony in Africa.

PETER: No luck in communicating with you direct lately ... You super busy?? ... Best I can tell, this Chapman article is circa 1996 - Do you know if there's been any follow-up on this de Locklsley guy?

MIKE: Sudgen offers comments made by relatives of one of Chapman's wives as a possible solution to the "he was too young" issue. I'll look it up if you don't have ready access. I still haven't located an affordable copy of The Trial of George Chapman ... not giving up hope yet.

IMHO serial killers don't "switch" MOs, but they're very adaptable & do "evolve" - growing & learning from past mistakes - sometimes becoming almost unrecognizable in the process. The "would a poisoner stab?" thing has pretty good coverage is earlier posts if your scrolling finger isn't too tired.

R. MICHAEL & DAVE R. - Hi ya.

Take care,
Ashling

Howdy Ashling!

Thanks for all the above thoughts. I have read Sugden's and Rumbelow's books twice- so good, they're hard to put down! I know Phil is a big fan of Krazy Klos, as was Abberline (also Godley and Neil). He certainly seemed to be a dark and sinister character.

Your references are correct. I realize he did threaten his wife Lucy with a knife, and that her family and others said his appearance had changed little during his time in England. But, I still have a great deal of trouble reconciling the change in MO. It just plain bothers me- I guess I don't see it happening. We all try to envision what the Ripper was like, and what he felt on those chilly nights prowling the streets. Your thoughts on another board (e.g., what he was thinking while arranging the body- maybe we need to test the FBI profile against you!...big grin)
were very interesting. I just don't see him going to poison.

He had the surgical skill. I really like that! No doubt it's a mixed bag. Keep the faith and best wishes.

Cheers......Mike

Good Afternoon one and all.
R. Michael here.

Hello Mike - How about him putting down the blade as being far too messy after two murders in the United States and an attack on his wife? Perhaps he just got tired of all that blood, or he may have wanted to try out new things to increase the time frame of the pleasure? He did enjoy watching his "wives" dying very much. Remember that some well known serial killers change their MO's just to keep the police off of their trails. We need to think "serial killer" and not "murderer" on this one. Jack's problem was always to stay alive and out of the hands of the police and if he was smart enough to keep out of their hands during the Ripper series he was certainly smart enough to change his style or location when things got just a bit too hot to handel.

Hello Ashling - Tried the internet address as above but could not get past the final letters in the address. Kept being told "no connection" Any ideas on how to access the Chapman page you mention? I would be most interested in reading the material for myself.

Hello Peter - How is our deal coming along?

Best to all. R.M. Gordon

Hi y'all.

R. MICHAEL: How's your second book progressing? On the George Chapman article try any of the below:

1) http://www.leevalley.co.uk/ela/news.html#top

2) http://www.leevalley.co.uk/ela/history.html

3) On Yahoo Search Engine type arsenic poisoner - You'll see beginning of the 1st page story: ONE FOOT IN THE RAVE! BETHNAL Green ...

4) Because the listing is mis-spelled - - - On Yahoo Search Engine type East London Advetiser

I'd be glad to send the Advertiser webpage via email attachment to anyone who posts their email address. If anyone wants me to send it, please let me know.

Take care,
Ashling

Howdy R. Michael, Ashling!

R. Michael- I appreciate the response. Sounds like a plausible explanation. Lost his stomach for old red stuff. Kind of a maturation of MO, eh what?! Bloody good! I'll have to cogitate on that one awhile with my heavy shag tobacco. As you well know, it's a three-pipe problem! Keep the faith and best wishes.

Cheers.......Mike

R.M.:
I've got some photocopies of the five death certs. here. Remind me of your editors address and I'll send them on. If you use them in your book, remember you might have to clear copyright with OPCS in London.
Peter.
