Who is this????
There is a book up for auction on Ebay called "Hvem Var Jack The Ripper" by Carl Muusmann. It's a Danish book that was published in 1908 and names Alios Szemeredy as the Ripper. Who in this world is this suspect? It really took me by surprise to find a totally new name such as this....can anyone tell me anything about this? Go check out Ebay...this book seems like a really good deal if you have the money....which I definately don't!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Brenda,

"Hvem Vaar...." has been reprinted and is available in that edition, with translation. I believe Stephen has one for sale. You could e-mail the Casebook and ask.

Hi Brenda,

As it's me who's selling the book on ebay I'd better post a reply! The book is fairly well known, and Szemeredy does feature in the A-Z.
The 1908 first edition is extremely rare, and may be of interest to collectors who want to own the full works, but if you just want to know about Szemeredy and can get a copy, then go for Adam Wood's translation.
I think it fair to say that Alios is highly unlikely to have been our man, by the way!

Regards

David
