Casebook Message Boards: Ripper Suspects: General Discussion : Contemporary prison/asylum records
Author: John Baker Saturday, 13 May 2000 - 06:32 am | |
Has anyone out there made a detailed (and I mean detailed, rather than limited with one suspect in mind) of the London prison/asylum populations (including court records) between (say) 1885 and 1895? Focusing on local men with bad criminal records of violence against women who were free in late 1888. 'Cause yer man's in there somewhere. Even if you didn't definitely find JTR, you'd find 3 or 4 men at least as likely to have been JTR as anyone hitherto suggested.. John

G'day John, Sorry mate but I've got to disagree with you. Jack was the knid of bloke who blended into the local populace without drawing attention to himself. That's one of the reasons why he never got caught. Appologies also for posing this message 6 months late. Jules
