hi there,
i need help from all of you out there.
at the moment i'm trying to set up the biggest platform related to the ripper subject in germany!
i'm happy if you could send me everything concerning the case that is translated into german (inquests, dissertations, press reports etc.)
in that case i don't have to do the translations all by myself!

Of course, the Ripper murders were reported worldwide so there are probably a lot of reports in the German language newspapers that you could transcribe for your site as well as English material from U.S. and British papers. Just as the American papers often give information not in the British press reports it is possible the German press reports might likewise offer some information not otherwise available.
In any case, the very best of luck with your site. You might wish to give some space to discussing or transcribing the German language pamphlet (actually originally a chapter in a book) Der Teufel in Whitechapel by von Soltikow published in 1944 with an anti-semitic Nazi take on the case. Der Teufel in Whitechapel was recently republished by Stephen Ryder with an accompanying English translation by Jesse Flowers. Christian Jaud and I reviewed the work for Ripper Notes.

Hello Thomas,
There are translation devices on the Web that automatically transcribe text so it may be possible for you to "borrow" items from Ripper sites, cut and paste them into the translator and, hey presto!, full German versions and an early night to boot.

I believe I would caution against anyone using the translation devices on the web to translate any historical document from a different language. Having read a number of such translations, which often provide hilarious and unintended results, it is obvious that the translation should be done by a human translator who knows what they are doing.

Please follow Chris T's advice and stay away from those "translation-machines" no matter what you want to translate. Unless you want to create funny but unintelligible scribble.

hi jim,
i tried a very good translation tool, but the result was really bad.
so i will keep on translating it myself..
but it's just tooooo much material .-(
i will try my best!
