Dear Jon, Good point, Jon. But by implication you do not rule out the possibility that a 'poorer' Jack may well have stolen the fee/s. The question of the missing money, has been explained variously as, Jack never payed prior to the killing...Graziano was sceptical of this explanation (street girls being street-wise). Any monies that lay near to the bodies were retrieved by either witnesses, the police, or mortuary assistants. One cannot rule out the possibility...absurd as it may seem...they all knew Jack enough to trust him to pay sooner or later. And Jack being a real sweetheart always gave them a little gift. Rosey :-)

Dear Roe See Do you think these women carried any monies on them? I would not be surprised if they went from 'hand-to-mouth' so to speak. They turn a 'trick' and spend the money, not hoard it on themselves where they run the risk of it being stolen. No, I suspect they were penniless when 'Jack' met them, he paid his 4d (twas also the price of a bed) and they took him to a secluded spot. He kills them and then rifles their garments to retrive his 4d. I'm saying its a reasonable possibility. And in that I am excluding middle-class/upper-class suspects, who wouldn't miss 4d. Regards, Jon
