This book is excellently presented and gives readers the opportunity to study the case by exploring facsimilies of the original communications that claim to be from 'Jack the Ripper'. LEANNE PERRY

G'day, 'Letters From Hell' contains more than the letters from 'Jack'. It also contains alot of newspaper reports, 'Letters to the Editor' from important people, Home Office minutes, quotes from the memoirs of retired Police Officers etc. LEANNE PERRY

One of the best books on the subject. Only now finished it after having it lying around for a few months. I feared it may be too "dry" (in want of a better word), but was completely wrong. It is a fascinating summary about the letters and their background. Highly recommended. Only thing: I would love to read alternative chapters 15/16 as written by Keith Skinner to see where the differences in opinion about McCormick lie. Holger |

I've also got this book and thoroughly enjoyed reading it and agree with all the above comments. However, although these letters are dismissed as all fake, we can't be sure that every single one of them were can we? It is really eerie perhaps knowing that one has read something that the "real" Jack the Ripper wrote. |
