Does anyone know anything about Zena Shine, "who may well be a descendent [sic] of the police’s main suspect", according to Richard Jones's website?

The website says that she is interviewed on his DVD, entitled "On The Trail of Jack the Ripper":

Hi Chris -

The latest issue of Ripperologist reviewed this DVD and included the following snippet:

quote:

Jones pulls a major surprise towards the end of the 75 minutes by revealing that Zena Shine, interviewed throughout, is Wolf Kosminski’s granddaughter. Her recollections are riveting.

Stephen

Thank you - how interesting!

Actually, it would be interesting enough even if she could do no more than reliably confirm that Wolf was related to Aaron ...

Zena Shine probably isn't Wolf's granddaughter, rather his great-granddaughter.

I know Richard Jones. Do you want me to ask him anything about this?

For my part, as much as you can, Philip.

Given the state of our knowledge of Kosminski and his family, the reasons why Aaron was suspected, and the circumstances of his confinement, ANYTHING that the family can recall about the circumstances or the details must surely be relevant and of interest.

Specific questions might include:

- Was Aaron suspected by his relations?
- Is anything known about an identification (and/or the Seaside Home)?
- Is there any recollection of Hyam Levy as a family friend?
- Do any family documents or papers survive from that period?
- Is anything recalled about Aaron's character or life?

Those are just from the top of my head.

Phil

I shall add:

- Do they have photographies of Aaron and his family?

The identification of a descendant of Wolf Kosminsky is an extraordinary information.

I'm not sure there is a person named Wolf Kosminki connected to the case. There was a Wolf Kosminski living in Whitechapel at the time, but he was probably unrelated to Aaron. Aaron's brother-in-law was Wolf Abrahams, sometimes referred to as Wolf Kosminski. This is the person you are looking for if you are trying to make a connection with Aaron.
