Whatho all,

Nooooo! It was Bill and Ben the flowerpot men.

And the memory of the real Labour Party:

Foot and Benn the crackpot men.

Cheers, Mark (oo, a bit political there)

Mark, in my opinion Bill and Ben said "obalob" and "slobalob" because they'd been smoking the Little Weed.

Not good role models for tiny tots, I feel.

They must have gone to pot before Slobodob (aka Slowcoach the Snail) could catch them, or the gardener who lived in the house tumbled them - and before they could grass on each other…

Love,

Caz

Sorry Robert, of course Slobodob was a tortoise. My brain must have been on a go-slow.

But am I right about “Hallob yob Modelstop” being a greeting to the Queen, as in “Hello your Majesty”? I think Bill and Ben had a royal visit in one episode.

Two Ronnies news flash: A consignment of tortoises arriving by train at Victoria and deposited on the platform was lost today when all the creatures managed to escape. A spokesman for British Rail said, “There was nothing we could do. The tortoises were just too quick for our porters.”

Love,

Caz

Hi Caz

A visit from the Queen? Wow! I bet Charles went along too - he understands people who talk to plants.

A friend of mine once commented : "Bloody puppets! String 'em up, that's what I say. It's the only language they understand. I had that Andy Pandy in the back of the cab once..."

Andy Pandy - now there's a basket case for you.

One of my favourite Two Ronnies jokes went something like : "Bill Lomax, the well-known elephant tracker, was buried today. In future he's decided to track further behind the elephant."

Sarah, please don't even mention the idea of "feeling very old" as you KNOW what happened to me this weekend!!!!!

Now can we all please move onto something more serious than Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men. I vote for The Clangers.

Hi Alan,

Don’t tell me you can see my Clangers slippers from there!

I’m not kidding – this week I will mostly be wearing slippers with the Clangers on top while posting.

(Well at least I can say I’ve never had Andy Pandy or any other children’s tv character in the back of a cab! Not quite my idea of creature comforts.)

Love,

Caz
