barnett's pipe was found in mary's room, on eddowes pipes were found and a pipesman had been seen when elisabeth had been attacked. could there be a link? |

Hi Annie, Possibly, but many men smoked pipes back then. Also there were TWO small black pipes on Kate's person when her body was found, so why would the killer leave these items. It doesn't make sense. |

Hi Sarah, Please remember that it was not unusual for women to smoke a pipe in those days, so please do not presume that they were left by her murderer. |

John, I didn't suggest they were left by the murderer in fact I said "so why would the killer leave these items". I know women smoked pipes too. |
