Hello everyone!

It seems like the only thing that I do on these boards is ask questions. So, staying true to form, here is another one. It is believed that JtR took a risk in Mary's room becaue there was only one way out. There has also been discussion about whether or not the bed had been moved to take the second photo. I have seen some diagrams of Mary's room, and one showed that on the other side of the partition was a set of stairs. There has also been a mention about a room next to hers being used for storage. Is it possible that this partition was not only put up shoddily, but that this partition could have been moved without too much effort? I realize this sounds like a long shot, but what if JtR knew about this? That wouldn't necessarily mean he knew Mary, but he did know the neighborhood. If this was the case, then JtR knew he had more than one way out. I know this is pure speculation, and I am probably allowing my imagination to get the better of me, but I like to try to think about this from every angle. Any thoughts? Also, if you think I am completely off my rocker, feel free to say so.
Sandy

I only just saw this post.

Frankly, I think the police would have mentioned that the partition had been moved.

From the photographs, it seems to me that it may have been flimsy but was probably "solid".
