Hmmm, someone's been spying on my profile. Don't remind me. Think I'll just go and get drunk and forget that I'll be 23 and try and pretend I'm 18 again. I don't know where to find the address of the casual ward, all I can find is Mile End, but let me guess. Is it somewhere near 19 Maidman Street where Ada Wilson was attacked per chance? Sarah |

Sarah, Tut tut! It is not always cool to be young. It was one of the worst times in my life; I wouldn't want to be 18 again, even if someone held a gun to my head. Being 38 is great and if I only can keep my health, I look forward to getting older. All the best Glenn L Andersson Crime historian, Sweden |

Glenn, You see this is where we differ. It was the best time of my life so far when I was 17 - 18 years old. I dread getting older. Men sometimes seem to look better when they age, women just deteriorate, unless they know a good plastic surgeon. I don't want wrinkles or grey hair or sagging....err skin or anything like that. I also have a good reason for not wanting to get older. I already have problems with my knees and my back and when I get older I will probably not be able to move. |

For about the last 30 years I believed (I don't remember where I read such) that Jack the ripper was the son of a prostitute. That he commited these crimes because of his hate towards prostitutions. Now I can't find any reference to that which I once read. Does anyone know 'where' I might've come uppon such information? I have a GREAT desire to know 'where' I might've gotten this info. THX & God Bless |

Everyone - as far as sorting the clues, does anyone have a list as to what they feel are real clues (some things that have actually lead their thinking in a specific direction)? Monty, thanks, I totally understand. I will email you if I have questions. Thanks for asking about my guy, he is doing much better. He is actually able to walk around the house a little. He gets up for Tea (or a beer) with me when I get home from work. |

Michael, Where do I start. The most important clues, must be the dates of these murders, and relevant material. Tabram . stabbed 39 times, aged 39. Nicholls killed 31st aug 88 Chapman killed 8th sept88 =39 stride and eddowes killed 30th sept 88. 9th month plus 30th day. Kelly killed 9th november 88 thirty plus nine= 39 She was killed at 26 Dorset street , room 13=39 Barnett agreed to live with kelly on the 9th april 87, he left her on the 30th otober 88 =39 she was killed on the 9th . he left her on the 30th =39 The 39th psalm, if read , could indicate a man of Barnetts personallity. Barnett had very strong jewish connections. I could go on, and include the famous grave spitting, but that is discused widely on these boards. Evidence enough in my opinion, for me to formualate a suspect. Richard. |

Richard, With regard to the 39 "clue". Are you suggesting that the killer was some sort of genius and completely planned out how to make 39? With regards to Mary's room number, if you think it's Barnett (as we all know you do by now), then are you suggesting that he was planning to kill her by moving them into that room on purpose? If not then surely it was a big coincidence. Also please explain how Chapman being killed on 8th Sept 88 equals 39 and where you got the 30 from in Mary's date of death. Also, how to the dates on which he moved in with Mary and moved out again add up to 39. I can't work these out. Thanks. Sarah (Message edited by sarah on January 22, 2004) |
