London, May 7.
The Pall Mall Gazette prints a column article, alleged to be based upon police inquiries,
suggesting that the ex-soldier, named Granger, a native of Cork, is the real "Jack the
Ripper." Granger is now serving a ten years' term of penal servitude for stabbing a woman
in Whitechapel district last March.
