Good evening, everyone. This is my first posting on the board, but I have been interested in the case for a while, ever since I saw the movie Time After Time. My question is: Based on the vivid description of the man that George Hutchinson saw, could police find that man and question him? Did they find alot of their suspects based on such accounts? Sorry for asking two questions at once. |

Hi Ray, and welcome. As far as I know, they sent off Hutchinson together with a couple of constables in order to track down his suspect and for Hutchinson to identify him. They never did find him. The only method the police had at the time to their disposal were accounts from witnesses or suggestions from people via letters, as well as doing house to house searches. Some of those suspects seem to have been identified and exonerated and some were never found or tracked down. All the best G. Andersson, writer/historian

Further to Glenn's comments, Ray, it's a bit of an obvious one but there is of course the popular train of thought that my namesake's suspect never even existed. PHILIP Tour guides do it loudly in front of a crowd!
