I remember 1988 fairly well, considering I was only 10.... it was the year I became fascinated with Jack the Ripper. They did several movies and miniseries on TV to "commemorate" the 100 year anniversary-- I remember the Michael Caine version (still have it on tape, actually)... but there was a different documentary they released that my mom taped at the time, then watched and decided it was to over the top gorey for a ten year old. She saved the tape to let me watch it later, but it was lost in a move. SO it is many years later and I still wonder what the show was about. I want to say it was called "The Secret Identity of Jack the Ripper," but I'm not sure. Does anyone reember this, or know where to find a copy of it? Were there any other good Ripper shows that came out at the time? Thanks all for your help-- this site is wonderful! |

Greetings- I have been looking for a copy of the 1988 Michael Caine version of Jack the Ripper for along time. I too had taped it at the time but lost it in a move. Does anyone know where I can get a copy that is playable in North America? Regards Ken |
