Hi, I am doing some GCSE coursework on law and order in London at the time of the Ripper murders, including things such as the history of the met, detection methods used by the police, what Whitechapel was like at the time, reputation of the police, etc. If anybody has any useful information on law and order in general in London in the late 19th c. then I would very much appreciate it. Regards, Claire |
