During my travels I found these very naughty, but also very well-spoken and educated Druitts - John defended himself admirably in court - and just thought it of some interest. There might be a family connection? I won't post the entire case, but it is easily available: 'The Proceedings of the Old Bailey Ref: t18320405-13 See original Trial Summary: Crime(s): theft : housebreaking, theft : receiving stolen goods, theft : housebreaking, theft : receiving stolen goods, Punishment Type: death, death, (Punishment details may be provided at the end of the trial.) Verdict: Guilty, Not Guilty, Not Guilty, Guilty, Not Guilty, Not Guilty, Other trials on 05 Apr 1832 Name search for: JOHN DRUITT, JANE DRUITT, JANE REEVE, Crime Location: York-square, in the parish of St. Pancras Broad-street, St. Giles Associated Records...'
