I was watching one of those TV shows where a gifted person acts as a conduit to the spirits of the dead. There is James Van Pragg and that Canadian guy. From what I saw there is absolutely no way they can keep guessing what they were coming out with. They speak to a relative of the deceased to attain information with quite good success.I have also read that these TV men are regarded as the best in thier field and 100% genuine. I would be very interested if relatives, or decendants, of the 6 known ripper victims, could be tracked down and face one of these conduits. They may be able to pass on the critical information we are dying to know - THE MAN WHO KILLED ME WAS ......... |

Mr S.Ryan I dont think that there would be any traceable decendants of the victims left for any such experiment. I might be wrong though. All the best. |

Good con-men/show-men have demonstrated an ability to duplicate popular conduits' successes. This doesn't mean it's not real but does offer a competing explanation that makes their results less than definitive. It may be possible to track down some families though. It's been done in several other famous mysteries in order to check DNA evidence. |

There's a scientific research organization in Virginia that has had a $1,000,000 reward for anybody willing to come in and prove they have psychic abilities by allowing scientists to fully study their results. There is also a scientist associated with the Skeptical Enquirer offering a $10,000 reward for the same. Not only has nobody won any of these rewards, NOBODY HAS EVEN TAKEN THE CHALLENGE. These challenges have been open for years. That should tell you a lot. Psychics are nothing but scam artists who use a process called "cold reading" in which they gather information from their victim's responses and use it to appear psychic. Tim |

Tim_308 I disagree with your evaluation on Psychics. Many are used by police departments in finding bodies etc., No doubt there are many who are not legit, however there are those who do indeed have a gift. When psychics are involved in police cases, most often they are contacted by others, be it the family or the police, they do not call the police as a rule and offer their services. Science is great, however even science does not have all the answers. This does not mean that I believe in all that is presented in the psychic world, but I sure have experienced and seen first hand that which science has not disproven. regards Julie
