Not wishing to reopen old debates, but as far as I can see this hasn't been discussed before:

Joseph BARNETT (Head) Age: 59, b. Whitechapel, Occupation: Glasscutter & China Riveter
Hannah BARNETT (Wife) Age: 55, b. Whitechapel, Occupation: Tailoress

Dwelling: 51 Goulstone St
Census Place: London,
Middlesex, England

Source: 1881 UK Census

Some, I know, have researched Joe Barnett's ancestry. Has the same research established whether John had a sibling (or cousin) called Joseph, born in 1822. If so, was he the same Joseph as the Goulston(e) Street glasscutter? I'm not a huge fan of the "JB = JTR" theories, but I needn't have to point out that a connection between (MJK's) Joe and a relative living in Goulston Street raises all sorts of possibilities.
