I don't know if anybody else has noticed, I'm sure it can't just be me, but the names "Mary Ann" seems to be popping up a lot. Don't know if this means anything, but also, in this same section there is reference to a french woman being killed in a "ripper" like way and her name was Marie-Anne. If we discount Stride for a moment, which believe me I don't like to do, then who do we have left? There's:- Mary Ann Nichols Annie Chapman (Still an Ann of somesorts) Catherine Eddowes (called herself Mary Ann Kelly on occasions) Mary Jane Jelly (Also apparently called herself Mary Ann Kelly sometimes) Now I don't know if this has any significance but just thought it was an odd perception. |
