It's struck me lately, that if the Ripper were indeed a low class citizen, it would seem unlikely that he would be able to afford, or would own, something like a Liston knife. Does anybody know if it would have been likely that the knives were stolen, and perhaps sold? |

Hi Kris There were plenty of jobs in the area which involved using a knife. Horse slaughters, butchers, chefs, fish mongers/porters etc. I suppose it would be fairly easy to lift one from any of these places, unless he has already worked in any of them. All the best Rob |
