Hello All

Has anyone come across THE RIVERMAN; Ted Bundy and I hunt for the Green River Killer; Robert Keppel (1995)? IMHO Bundy was the best qualified profiler to date. This remains true even if he was involved in the hunt out of a desire to put off his appointment with the death penalty.

Gary,

I bought a copy some years back...95 or 96 I think.

I got the feeling he was just pi$$ing them about.

Hi Monty

He was playing games at times when it came to revealing much about his own crimes. I think he thought he was more intelligent than those he was 'helping' and there may be some truth to that.

This is a quote from the preface. 'Ted was a necrophiliac and he knew we knew it. It was the one part of his criminal behavior that truly embarrassed him because, ugly as it was, it satisfied him sexually. Ted was so severe a sexual deviate that he was probably unable to reach an orgasm unless his victim was dead or unconscious.'(RIVERMAN)

I freely admit I can't grasp the extent of these type of killers sexual behavior and motivations.
I don't know that a rational mind truly can grasp these concepts. Nevertheless, we can't deny these people exist and are out there now.

Hi Howard

Sorry to be so long in responding to your e-mail.
I would appreciate any information you may have on the 'West Memphis Three'.

I am familiar with the case, but I am lamentably ignorant of the details.

Let me know if you would like me to transcribe any of your e-mails onto the boards.

All The Best
Gary

Does it really take one to know one? Fitting the profile couldn't hurt, Gary (nudge nudge). But being a superstar in your field doesn't make you a fountain of knowledge or even a good source of information. I seriously doubt you'd get any practical information out of a Ted Bundy.
You're better off asking Patricia Cornwell. I'm pretty sure she would have picked the truck painter.
