Hi everyone - I'm travelling this week on business and for some reason I can download email but am unable to send it from my hotel. So I wanted to post a short message to that effect, to let everyone know that I am NOT ignoring your email - I just can't get my replies to go through. Some personal messages: David O'Flaherty - great stuff! This is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for... thank you! Chris George - thanks for forwarding me that piece on Teaching History, very much appreciated. Steve Grant - I've received your Paypal, and will ship out your two books upon my return on Saturday. Thanks again for your order! Thomas Schachner - got your attahcment, but can't open .rar files on my laptop - will probably have to wait until I get back on Saturday to go over those posters. Thanks though! Sorry if I missed anyone - please feel free to send responses by email, but understand I will likely not be able to respond until Saturday (possibly on Thursday when I move to a different office). Also please note that I will likely not be approving any queued messages until this coming weekend - just don't have the time to review them this week. Apologies for any problems that might cause. I think that's everything! Cheers from fiery California.... Stephen P. Ryder, Editor Casebook: Jack the Ripper |

Hi, Stephen et al.-- Thanks, Stephen, have a good trip. Don't get burned on the Left Coast!!! All, what Stephen was referring to in his note to me was that I had alerted him to the fact that the Casebook is featured in the latest issue of Teaching History On-Line as a recommended website. A deserved accolade. All the best Chris

Hi Everyone - Due to a death in the family I'll be away until Tuesday. Unregistered members will likely not have their posts approved until I return, so apologies in advance for the delay. Please note also that any emails received during this period will likely not receive responses until the middle of next week. If you have anything that needs immediate attention please send it to me before Saturday morning (Eastern time). Stephen P. Ryder, Editor Casebook: Jack the Ripper |

My deepest sympathies on your loss. It seems to be that time of the year when we all hear of death among our intimates. I attended a funeral too about two weeks ago. Hope you only hear better news for a long time. Jeff |
