People are influenced by a lot of things and those things affect their behavior. I'm wondering if there was anything unusual going on in Whitechapel. We've analyzed the weather on the nights of the crimes, but in a broader sense was the overall weather different that year? Colder? Hotter? Wetter? Dryer? Was anything unusual going on politically? economically (such as more joblessness than normal)? Disease was a much bigger deal then because there were no antibiotics, so any epidemics? What have I left out? Are there other areas of environmental influence I haven't thought of? |

Diana, Why would environmental factors affect Jack and no one else? I can see where you are going with this but its not like the Salem Witch Trials where a number of people went off the deep end. c.d. |
