I was wondering whether Druitt is said "Drew-it", or if it rhymes with the word "fruit". Anyone know? |

I have always heard it pronounced Drew-it but I can't say for certain that's how Montague pronounced it. Andy S. |

There's a firm of solicitors in Bournemouth that are part of the same family - I once had to telephone them in connection with an insurance claim - they pronounced it Drew-it. (see www.druitts.com) |

Druitt didn't do it. That's how you remember the way to pronounce his name.

Duitt is pronounced the same as suet, or indeed cruet. |

When asked about the Ripper's identity, Macnaghten said he 'knew-it.' |
