Hi there. My name is Ian and I've been following the Jack The Ripper case since I first saw the Michael Cane film on TV. The lastest book I've read is a new book by Tony Williams entitled Uncle Jack where the author names a Dr of Queen Victoria's called John Williams as the killer. To be honest the book lacks hard fact and if I were a bookmaker offering odds on Williams being the killer the odds would be long. I've read and watched just about everything to do with the case and like anyone else I have my own opinions but even now I have no firm "favourite". It seems to me that answers to two vital questions would go a long way to dispelling myth and to leading us in the right direction of the killers identity. 1) Was there really a cover up? 2) Did the killer have medical knowledge? If we knew for certain the answers to these two questions it would narrow the field dramatically. Are we dealing with a plot or an individual madman? |
